Part of a series of electrical/electronic repair workshops

Free, booking req'd

REFER Restarter Parties are free electronic repair events being run in Limerick over the coming year. Each repair workshop or event is free and are open to the general public on a first come, first serve basis.

Anybody can bring along your broken electronic appliances, devices or stuff and sit down with repairers to see what is wrong with it and what can be done to fix or repair it. People are encouraged to drop in with their broken phones, laptops, hoovers or other electrical or electronic appliances. Skilled repair volunteers will help people diagnose and fix these broken or slow electronic devices and small appliances, to save them from waste and help change our relationship with electronics.

Anybody who is interested in getting involved in the project, from a repair enthusiast through environmental to a host role is always welcome and will be gratefully welcomed at all the events. For more information, please email restarter.limerick@gmail.com.

This Repair Workshop will be on Saturday, Feb. 23rd, from 2pm to 5pm in Fab Lab Limerick, Rutland Street, Limerick.

These events are part of a series of electronic repair workshops being run in Limerick over the coming months by the REFER (Raw Engagement for Electronics Repair) project. REFER is a European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT - a body of the European Union) project, under the Horizon 2020 programme, the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, in collaboration with the University of Limerick and Fab Lab Limerick - a project by the School of Architecture, University of Limerick.
